sign fabricator
A manufacturer or constructor of permanent exterior signs identifying a building or its primary tenant.
A sign supplier is the manufacturer or constructor of any permanent exterior signs which identify the building's name, address, or primary tenant. These signs may be mounted on the building or placed near it, but must be associated very closely with the building if not attached to it.
The sign identifies the building, its address, or its primary tenant. Its exterior position and close association with the building are part of the definition, whether the sign is fixed to the building or stands nearby.
The sign's information-bearing purpose distinguishes it from an architectural metal component or an exterior light fitting. A sign can contain either kind of component without making its fabrication identical to the supply of the component alone.
