cablecar traffic

A corridor or structure carrying passenger or freight cabs on elevated moving cables, excluding stations and ground-level cable railways.

Cablecar traffic is applied as a usage to any structure or corridor where passenger or freight cabs are carried on moving cables suspended from a height. It is not applied to the stations along a cablecar line.

This usage does not refer to ground-level trams or funiculars which are pulled on cables and often called "cablecars". Those are classified as tram or rail traffic facilities.

The cabs are carried on suspended moving cables. Ground-level cable-pulled trams and funiculars retain the tram or rail traffic classifications described above.
