forced air

Room-level or floor-level electric heating with fans beside heated coils, excluding fuel-fired ducted heating.

Forced air heating refers to room-level or floor-level heating which is distributed by fans next to electric coils that radiate heat. It does not apply to fuel-generated heat which is forced through ducts into various rooms.

The fan distributes heat from nearby electric coils within the room or floor. Both that local arrangement and the electric heat source are part of this definition.

Fuel-generated heat delivered through ducts remains excluded. In particular, central gas heating retains its separate designation even though it also moves warm air.
