A business center operator is a company which runs any business center or virtual office on a commercial basis, where any customer can use business services such as meeting rooms, videoconferencing, telephone/fax/internet services, secretarial services, and office supplies. It does not apply to operators of business centers which exist solely as tenant amenities and are not available to non-tenant customers.

The center supplies office facilities or services commercially to customers. A virtual-office operation can qualify without providing every customer with a permanent private office.

Availability beyond the building's tenants is required. A meeting room or office-service area reserved solely for existing tenants remains a tenant amenity outside this operator role.
