A raw material storage site is a silo, tank, bin, platform, or other place for bulk storage of a commodity. This applies to relatively homogeneous raw materials which are stored en masse.
The commodity is stored together in a relatively homogeneous mass. Its physical form can call for a containing vessel or a designated storage surface.
The construction form alone does not determine the stored material. Separate commodity definitions distinguish fuel, agricultural products, and other bulk substances.
