A medical clinic is a building, suite, or complex holding offices for doctors and/or medical specialists who receive patients on an outpatient basis. Patients may be accepted as walk-ins or may require appointments.

Patients attend for a consultation or treatment without the visit requiring inpatient admission. The facility can contain general practitioners or specialist practices.

Walk-in access and appointments are both possible. Neither one booking method nor a particular size of building is required.
