inline hockey

One or more rinks for hockey played on inline roller skates, with goals at both ends.

An inline hockey facility is a place with one or more rinks or courts with a smooth, hard surface designed for hockey played on inline roller skates. Inline hockey is a team sport in which players wearing skates try to shoot a heavy disk (puck) into a netted goal at the opposing team's end using a long stick with a flat blade at its end.

Inline hockey uses skates with wheels arranged along a single line. Except for the playing surface, the game is very similar to ice hockey. The goalie in inline hockey wears a special glove to catch incoming shots.

The rink has a hard, smooth surface rather than ice. The skates' single row of wheels distinguishes inline hockey from quad-skate roller hockey, while floorball is played without skates.
