involvement zone

A section of a building defined by the activity of a company with regard to it.

An involvement zone is a section of a structure with which any building-related company is or was involved, when this involvement is not applicable to the whole structure. For example, if an interior designer works on only 3 floors of a building, those 3 floors could constitute an involvement zone.

The zone follows the portion covered by a company's work or other involvement. It can describe past involvement as well as current activity.

Its extent can be several floors without covering the whole structure. Occupancy by a tenant is a different basis for defining an internal zone.
