zoo
A place displaying animals for zoological interest or entertainment, assigned to individual public animal-display structures.
A zoo usage is assigned to any place where animals are displayed for zoological or entertainment purposes. This usage is assigned separately to each structure in a zoological complex where animals are meant to be shown to the public.
The use is applied to each structure where animals are shown to the public. A building used only for unrelated administration within a zoo complex does not acquire animal-display use from its address.
Exhibits can be organized by animal group, geographic origin, or ecosystem. Aquatic mammal exhibits are included among the zoo's defined display types.
