natural gas distribution
A site used in the distribution of natural gas between its points of extraction and use.
A natural gas distribution site is a structure where natural gas flow is controlled or routed to the various buildings and structures where it will be used. This includes distinct sites along a pipeline or network where operations are performed, such as controlling pressure.
The site controls or routes the gas within the distribution network. Pressure control is one included operation rather than a requirement for every location.
The definition includes distinct operational sites along pipelines. It does not require the site to be the place where gas is extracted or finally burned.
