A communal bathing facility for cleanliness, relaxation, or ritual, excluding saunas, Turkish baths, and swimming facilities.
A public bath is any communal facility for bathing in showers or pools of water, which does not meet the definition of a Turkish bath or a sauna. It may be for purposes of cleanliness, relaxation, restorative health, or ritual purification. It does not include swimming facilities.
Bathing facilities in a public bath may include still water, jacuzzis, and various forms of falling or flowing water.
Showers, pools, or flowing-water arrangements can provide the bathing facilities. The purpose is communal bathing rather than swimming, while the separately defined sauna and Turkish-bath forms remain excluded.
