A brick floor is a floor surface constructed out of many individual bricks laid like tiles, either with or without mortar or grouting.

The bricks form the walking surface as separate units. Their use in a floor is distinct from brick masonry in a wall.

Mortar and grouting are optional under this definition. A dry-laid brick surface remains included alongside one with filled joints.
