orchard

An intentionally planted area of trees grown for harvesting fruit, nuts, bark, or other products without felling them for wood.

An orchard is a distinct area consisting of trees which were deliberately planted in order to produce harvestable products. This does not refer to trees planted for the sake of being cut down for wood: the harvest should consist of fruit, nuts, bark, or other such products of the trees.

The trees were deliberately planted for their products. The harvest can be fruit or nuts, but the stated scope also includes bark and other tree products.

Trees grown to be cut down for timber have the explicit exclusion above. Harvesting the tree's products distinguishes the orchard from that wood-production purpose.
