engineering association
An organization to promote common causes among various enrolled engineering firms.
Professional associations whose members are engineers or engineering firms.
The association brings members together around their shared engineering profession or practice. Its membership can consist of individual engineers or firms; it is not limited to an office carrying out engineering calculations for a particular building.
A structural engineering firm performs technical work on a structure. An engineering association has a membership and professional purpose. A licensing board or certification auditor is not an association merely because it regulates or assesses engineering work.
