A congregation center is a social gathering place or all-purpose facility attached to or associated with a house of worship. It is generally used as a social center by the congregation of that religious community or parish, often immediately after religious services.
The religious congregation uses the space for social activities. Gathering after services is common without limiting it to that time.
Physical attachment to the worship building is one arrangement. A separately located facility can also qualify through its association with the house of worship.
