playground
An outdoor area with a collection of fixed equipment for children to play on.
A playground is a distinct outdoor area with a variety of small structures for children to play on. The equipment may include slides, sandboxes, swings, objects for climbing, and apparatuses which bounce or spin. These are often located within parks.
The site is outdoors and contains several small play structures. It can form a distinct area inside a larger public park.
The equipment is intended for children's play. A park without such a configured equipment area does not become a playground merely because children visit it.
