Unisex restrooms are toilet facilities designated for use by persons of any sex, often with additional accommodation for washing, showering, changing clothes, or changing diapers. The unisex designation may mean that different sexes may use the facilities concurrently (e.g. when the facilities are large enough to be shared), or that any sex may use it but with only one person at a time (especially for small restrooms).

This is only allowed as a main usage, and is applied only to buildings where some form of restrooms is a primary function.

The designation does not necessarily mean simultaneous shared use. A single-user facility can serve any sex in turn while retaining the same unisex designation.
