kiosk

A generally small retail shop with its wares behind or within close reach of one sales desk, excluding food-and-drink takeout.

A kiosk is a special type of retail shop, generally very small in area, where all of its wares are kept behind or within very close reach of the sales desk. Kiosks are generally booths organized for the quick sale of convenience goods at high volume.

Although food and drink take-out places often have the form of a kiosk, this usage does not apply to them. Those should be classified as "take-out" usages.

The compact relation of the wares to the sales desk defines the arrangement. A food or drink takeout booth remains a takeout use even when it has the same physical form.
