bungee jumping

A site for recreational jumps in which a person is secured to one or more anchored elastic cords.

A bungee jumping location is a site designated for thrill-jumping in which the jumper is secured to one or more anchored elastic cords. The jumper experiences free fall for a few moments then bounces up when the bungee cord reaches its point of tension.

The elastic cord allows a period of falling followed by a rebound as it takes the jumper's weight. The definition concerns a site designated for that activity.

Ziplining carries the participant along a suspended cable with a pulley. It uses a different movement and attachment arrangement.
