Internal transport systems are mechanical devices or networks which move people and/or objects (such as vehicles, packages, and cargo) through a structure.
The movement occurs through the structure and is provided mechanically. People, vehicles, and other cargo can all be conveyed.
Stairs provide a route for walking between levels without a conveying mechanism. The number of transport devices is also distinct from the number of floors or stops they serve.
