A table tennis area is a location specifically designated and equipped for table tennis, a sport in which two or four players hit a hollow lightweight ball back and forth across a divided table using small rackets. The area must include at least one hard table with a low net dividing it across the middle.
At least one suitable table with a dividing net is required. Both singles and doubles play are included.
The site is specifically designated and equipped for table tennis. An ordinary table used incidentally for a ball game does not establish the described sporting facility.
