energy consultant

A company which provides expertise on energy-efficient design for a structure.

An energy consultant is a company which advises clients on optimizing a structure's energy efficiency.

The consultant advises on the structure's use of energy and ways to improve its efficiency. The activity is advice to the client rather than the manufacture or installation of a particular energy system.

A sustainable design consultant addresses environmental efficiency and green building certification more broadly. The energy consultant is identified specifically by the energy-efficiency advice supplied for the structure.
