variable wall potential

A building has variable wall potential when it is designed without fixed internal walls or excessive columns that would restrict freedom of internal floor plan arrangements. This is not to be confused with a movable wall, which is an internal partition whose position can be shifted at will. Variable wall potential refers to a flexible layout that can accommodate the wishes of different tenants who fit the space to their needs.
The structural arrangement allows different tenant layouts without fixed walls or excessive columns determining the plan. It concerns the capacity to fit out the space.
A movable partition is a different feature: it can shift position directly. Variable wall potential does not require the completed partitions themselves to move at will.
