site cleanup begins
A reasonably continuous phase of site clearance or excavation begins in preparation for initial foundation construction.
Cleanup of the construction site begins with the commencement of whichever reasonably continuous phase of work commences which prepares the site for the initial construction of foundations. This does not include demolition of existing buildings on the site (unless that occurs simultaneously with clearance of the surrounding land), but may occur immediately upon completion of that step. It can theoretically be skipped if the ground is already cleared and ready for commencement of foundations during the planning phase.
Site cleanup may also begin with excavation if no other preparatory clearance work is necessary.
This event marks the beginning of the site preparation phase.
