tram depot
A facility for parking or storing rail-based trams or streetcars while they are not operating.
A tram depot is a place for storing or parking rail-based streetcars when they are not in operation. Storage facilities for other types of rail cars, such as trains, subway cars, light rail trains, or other rail cars are listed as train depots.
The stored vehicles are streetcars. The facility stores them while they are out of operation. A passenger stop on a route has a different role.
Train depots separately cover subway, light rail, and other non-streetcar rail vehicles. The vehicle type determines the distinction.
