raised access floor fabricator

A manufacturer of elevated floors that permit enhanced electronics or utilities underneath.

A raised access floor fabricator is a company or firm that manufactures or assembles raised access floors for use in buildings where advanced electronics or utilities are needed. The elevated floor provides room for excess cables, wiring, and/or pipes in order to supply advanced levels of power, electronic connectivity, cooling, heating, or other functions.

The elevated floor creates a service space beneath the walking surface. The manufactured or assembled product is the floor arrangement that provides that space, rather than the cables, pipes, or equipment placed within it.

The structural floor plate remains a separate component below the raised floor. Flooring manufacture also covers raised access floors, but this definition identifies the fabricator specifically by that elevated service-floor product.
