A company, organization, or individual is listed as inactive when it/he/she either no longer exists or no longer performs any relevant role in its former capacity. An individual may be listed as inactive upon retirement, and a company or organization upon its dissolution.
The loss of activity concerns the entity's former role. Retirement can end an individual's professional activity without ending the person's existence.
Dissolution can end a company or organization. A change of name alone is different from the cessation of the relevant activity described here.
