real estate agent
A firm which sells or leases real estate to purchasers and prospective tenants.
A real estate agent is a sales, rental, or leasing agent assigned to a specific property or having a business relationship with its manager or owner pertaining to that building.
The connection concerns sales or letting for the particular property. An agency's general activity in the same city does not establish an assignment or business relationship for that building.
The owner and agent can be separate parties. Acting in a sale or letting does not by itself mean that the agent holds title to the property or manages its daily operations.
