A tobacconist is a retail space specializing in any kind of tobacco products, including cigarettes, cigars, pipe tobacco, chewing tobacco, or similar products.

Tobacconists also often sell smoking accessories such as pipes, cigarette holders, ashtrays, etc. If the store sells these paraphernalia but does not sell actual tobacco, it should be classified as a smoking accessories shop.

Tobacco is part of the specialist merchandise, including forms used without smoking. Pipes or other accessories can accompany the tobacco, but an accessories-only assortment has the separately defined smoking-accessories use.
