job title
The internally named position or role of a person within his or her employing organization.
The job title is the current official job title as provided by the person or the company he or she works for. The title may or may not include indicators of rank (e.g. vice- or assistant).
The title is supplied by the person or the employing organization. An indicator such as assistant or vice may appear in it, but such an indicator is not required for the title to qualify.
An academic title records an educational qualification or status. The job title records the current organizational position, so it is not established solely by a degree appended to the person's name.
