An object is a real, abstract, or non-existing thing which can be singled out amidst its context and described.
An object has enough individual identity to be singled out from what surrounds it. Actual physical existence is not required for that identity.
A built object is a construction, while a virtual object can exist as a concept. These are different forms of individually describable things.
