ticket sales
Related terms: ticket office · ticket counter · ticket store · ticket shop
A place or installation specializing in selling tickets for admission to attractions, events, or transportation.
Ticket sales are places that specialize in the sale of admission tickets of any kind, whether to some attraction, to shows, to transportation, or to a multitude of places or events. This usage can often be found in buildings, booths, kiosks, automatic machines, or other structures.
The sales point can serve one attraction or offer tickets for multiple destinations and events. It can be staffed or operate through an automatic machine.
A travel agency can sell tickets as part of wider travel arrangements. Ticket sales alone do not require that broader planning service.
