cork panels

Cork panels are sheets or continuous blocks of material made from the bark of the cork oak tree (Quercus suber). It is generally a good insulation material, and resists moisture and insects.

Cork is formed into a continuous sheet or block for the insulating layer. The bark-derived material distinguishes it from wood-fiber and synthetic-foam boards.

The panel is identified by its cork composition and insulating use. Cork installed as an exposed floor covering has a different role from a thermal-insulation panel.
