Ruhrsite-ID
The official identification number used by municipalities in the Ruhr region of Germany.
The Ruhrsite-ID is the official building identification number assigned by municipalities in Germany's Ruhrgebiet, a large urban concentration in the state of Nordrhein-Westfalen.
The Ruhr is not one city but a belt of neighboring ones, so the number comes from the municipality that holds the building rather than from a single regional authority.
Its scope is that region alone. A building elsewhere in Nordrhein-Westfalen or in Germany has none, and the German building number is the field that covers the whole country.
