The number of designated take-off and landing pads for helicopters within an object or an area.
The number of helipads for any object is the total quantity of platforms or designated sites, within the limits of an object or an area, which are usable for both take-offs and landings of helicopters.
Each counted pad is a platform or designated location usable for both helicopter arrival and departure. The surface can belong to a building or to a larger site.
The count is limited to pads within the boundary of the object or area. It describes available landing-and-takeoff locations, rather than the number of helicopters or flights.
