A passage or right-of-way for trains guided along a pathway and supported above it by magnetic levitation.
A maglev traffic corridor is a passage or right-of-way for trains traveling by magnetic levitation. Such trains do not use conventional rails, but follow a guided pathway from which they are slightly elevated when in motion. This is a very fast and high-tech form of transportation, with very few existing cases.
Magnetic levitation supports the moving train above its guided path. The corridor is identified by that form of transportation.
The definition concerns the route used by the trains. A vehicle storage or passenger-service site does not acquire corridor use merely because it serves the same system.
