A law firm is an organized group of lawyers which provides legal services and/or counsel.

The group consists of lawyers offering professional legal services. Providing advice is sufficient; every assignment need not involve a court appearance.

An accounting firm can work with the same financial matters through bookkeeping or auditing. That work does not by itself make the firm a group of lawyers.
