photovoltaics installation

A contractor that installs photovoltaic solar cells as panels or arrays on a building or its grounds.

Contractors that install photovoltaics, i.e. solar cells in the form of solar photovoltaic panels and arrays.

The installed equipment consists of photovoltaic cells assembled into panels or arrays. Installation can be on the roof, facade, or grounds; the role is not confined to roof-mounted equipment.

A photovoltaics manufacturer produces the equipment. This contractor installs it at the property; manufacture of associated conversion or distribution equipment is a separate supply activity.
