overnight guest suites
Designated rooms or units in a multi-unit residential building where guests of residents can spend the night.
Overnight guest suites are units or bedroom suites in a multi-unit residential building which are set aside so that guests of residents can stay in them as needed. Usually a fee is charged to the resident whose guests stay there. Depending on availability, they can often be used for stays of multiple nights.
These suites basically function as hotel rooms, but they are not classified with hotel as a usage because they are not available to all comers; rather they serve as an amenity for building residents.
Access depends on being a resident's guest. The accommodation is set aside within the residential property for that purpose. Fees and possible stays of several nights do not make the suites generally available hotel accommodation.
