helicopter parking

A helicopter parking site is a place designated for short-term or long-term storage of helicopters when they are not being used. The site may also be used for loading or unloading of passengers or cargo, but a loading area should only be classified as parking when helicopters are also left there in storage.

A loading area qualifies only if helicopters are also left there in storage. Picking up passengers alone does not establish parking.

The helicopter can remain for a short or long period. Duration does not replace the requirement for an actual storage role.
