A funicular station is a boarding and/or alighting point on a funicular railroad or tramway. The railcars on a funicular line travel up and down steep hills on wheels, and are pulled or restrained by a moving cable.

The station area includes related mechanical facilities and service facilities, as well as any platforms or areas designated for stopping railcars.

Funicular stations are somewhat like suspension cableway stations, except that the railcars run along the ground on wheels. One end station is generally much higher than the opposite one. Intermediate stations along the route are possible but not common.
