demolition cost
The amount spent or projected for a complete or partial demolition project, according to the date of the figure.
Demolition cost refers to the amount of money spent on the complete or partial demolition of a structure. If demolition is interrupted, then the pre-interruption phase may be considered a separate project if the structure is used afterwards. Normally, if only part of a structure is demolished, then that part is listed as a "subtraction module", and the demolition cost can be assigned to that module.
When the demolition cost is assigned to an object as of a date coinciding with the end of demolition, the figure should be understood as the final demolition cost. When the cost is assigned as of the beginning date or planning date of demolition, then it should be understood as a projected cost.
The cost concerns the identified demolition work. Land acquisition and subsequent new construction are different expenditures, and a partial demolition can have a cost distinct from the rest of the structure.
