sand storage
Bulk storage of fine particulate rock, usually below two millimeters in diameter, excluding packaged sand.
Sand storage facilities are places for bulk storage of very fine particulate rock, usually with particles below 2 millimeters in diameter. This does not include warehouse storage of packaged sand.
The stored material is loose sand held as a bulk commodity. The typical particle size distinguishes it from the coarser material in gravel storage.
Packaged sand held as warehouse merchandise is excluded. The bulk storage purpose does not depend on sand being intended for one particular construction or industrial use.
