aircraft parking
A designated site for short-term or long-term aircraft storage that does not meet the definition of an aircraft hangar.
An aircraft parking facility is a place designated for short-term or long-term storage or stowage of airborne vehicles, which is not an aircraft hangar. Aircraft parking sites are often used also for loading or unloading passengers and/or freight.
Loading passengers or freight can accompany parking. The facility still has a storage or stowage role.
An aircraft hangar provides the building or shed described in its own definition. Other designated aircraft storage sites fall within aircraft parking.
