ramp up

A pedestrian main entrance approached from outside by ascending an inclined ramp on the same property.

An entrance approach is described as 'ramp up' when one or more pedestrian main entrances to a built object are reached from outside by walking, rolling on wheels, or otherwise moving up an inclined ramp. This ramp may be right at the entrance, or some distance away on the same property.

The incline rises in the direction of arrival at the entrance. The ramp can begin at the doorway or farther along the approach within the property.

Stairs up describe an ascent on steps. A ramp provides an inclined surface that can be traversed by walking, rolling, or other movement.
