artwork
A sculpture or other physical object which adds artistic enhancement to its environment.
An artwork is an object of artistic interest, stimulation, or appeal. It is applied to an object as its usage when the structure or object's primary purpose is artistic and when it is installed permanently to enhance its environment.
The object is permanently installed with art as a primary purpose. A temporary display and an ordinary functional object with attractive detailing are different arrangements.
An ornament is primarily decorative, while a memorial is primarily commemorative. An artwork can also commemorate a subject without losing its principal artistic purpose.
