controlled interior humidity
The controlled percentage level of possible water vapor content in the indoor air of a building space.
The controlled interior humidity of a building or module is the deliberately set and adjusted level of water vapor in the air within an indoor space, expressed as a percentage of water vapor content relative to the saturation point (i.e. the point at which any added moisture will condense into liquid water). This data is commonly available for greenhouses, laboratories, archives, libraries, and many other use areas.
The percentage is relative humidity, so it describes moisture in relation to saturation at the indoor temperature. An absolute moisture quantity per cubic meter is a different measurement.
The value concerns a deliberately maintained indoor condition. An outdoor weather reading or an uncontrolled room reading does not describe the controlled setting of the enclosed space.
