Definitions

virtual address

The range(s) of house numbers that would fit a property along the side(s) where no such numbers are assigned.

The virtual address of any property refers to its location on the road network, as indicated by the local numbering/lettering system, where no official house numbers are assigned to it. It generally covers sides of the property where no entrance or mail delivery point is located.

These are assigned the house numbers which would be given to that side of the property following its context within the city's postal numbering grid. The virtual address cannot overlap existing addresses belonging to neighboring properties; rather it may take its cues from the address range endings on bordering properties.
