demolition event

A lifecycle milestone associated with final demolition, destruction, disassembly, or subsequent reuse of components.

Demolition events are milestones in the lifecycle of a built object which are associated with its final demolition, destruction, or disassembly, as well as re-use of its components past the end of its lifecycle. This does not include damage events, which are generally unexpected or unavoidable and are not associated with a regular demolition process.

The event concerns the ending of the object's physical lifecycle or the later handling of its components. Reuse of a removed component can occur after the original object has ceased to exist.

A damage event has a separate meaning when damage occurs outside the regular demolition process. Demolition milestones are not limited to a single instant of final collapse.
