pipe organ
A musical instrument played on a keyboard which drives pressurized air through large metal pipes.
A pipe organ is a keyboard instrument which plays music by driving pressurized air through several large metal pipes, usually arranged in one or more clusters. This is a very common feature of churches, and is also installed sometimes in stadiums and theaters.
The keyboard controls a musical instrument whose sounding elements are pipes supplied with pressurized air. The pipes can be grouped in one or several parts of the installation.
An external loudspeaker projects live or recorded sound into the surrounding area. A pipe organ produces music through its pipes and is not established by a loudspeaker playing an organ recording.
